Optus, the second-largest telecommunications company in Australia, has laid out 50 sites to receive 5G across the country's two most populous states, Victoria and Sydney. The company is planning to use the Ericsson and Nokia kit for this venture. Their multi-vendor approach to Optus 5G will help to deliver a more dynamic and innovative network for the benefit of their customers. The telco is currently working closely with Ericsson to conduct critical interoperability device testing so that they can deliver a compatible 5G home broadband product. The proposed fee for this service is AU$70 a month which will already provide unlimited data at a 50Mbps minimum speed.


Cheong wildflower Sanctuary in Croydon Hills Victoria

Designated as a "Land for Wildlife", the Cheong Wildflower Sanctuary is located on the corner of Eastfield Road and The Pass, Croydon. The reserve occupies 3 acres of bushland and is off-limits to the public but it can be viewed from the boundary fence. This parcel of land was once part of a large farming area owned by the Cheong family and was later donated to the Council with the purpose of preserving some of the country's native floras. One of the notable features of this park is the presence of a large specimen of White Stringybarks that often catch the attention of sightseers because of their size and age.
